Understand the email verification report

After the e-mail verification, it's time to track the results in your report

This document provides an overview of the email verification reports at SafetyMails, explaining how to interpret the results and use the information to organize your mailing lists.

1- SafetyScore

The SafetyScore is a score assigned to your mailing list after verification, reflecting its quality based on SafetyMails criteria.This score mainly takes into account the incidence of invalid emails and spamtraps, which are responsible for the majority of blocks and drops in reputation in email marketing.

The more stars, the better the quality of the list imported into SafetyMails.

After email verification, the addresses are classified according to Safetymails' criteria.

3- Email status

Green Zone

These e-mail addresses can be used in your campaigns.

StatusMeaning
VALIDE-mail addresses whose existence has been confirmed. This e-mail address has been verified and is OK to receive your messages
ROLE-BASEDThis e-mail is specific to a position or function, such as @sales, @adm, among others. Although it is valid and OK to receive your messages, we recommend caution.

Yellow Zone

Emails that can be used in your campaigns, but you have to be careful.

StatusMeaning
LOW DELIVERABILITYThis email address is valid, but it is known to have limitations in terms of receiving capacity and you may find it difficult to deliver messages.

Orange Zone

These e-mail addresses have characteristics that make sending them NOT RECOMMENDED. It is therefore up to the customer to decide what to do, but they will be subject to problems with email providers.

StatusMeaning
DISPOSABLEThis address is for a temporary email service. Please do not send messages to this e-mail address and remove it from your list
INCERTOS
(catch-all ou reject-all)
Addresses that accept or block all messages, regardless of their content. It's up to you, but we don't recommend sending messages to this address.
JUNK Do not send messages to this e-mail address. There is a high chance that it will be blocked by AntiSpam word filters and heuristic filters, as it contains elements that may be identified by ISPs and directed to junk or spam folders.

Red Zone

These e-mail addresses MUST NOT be used in your campaigns.

StatusMeaning
INVALIDThis e-mail address does not exist or has been deactivated. Do not send messages to it and remove it from your list.
INVALID DOMAINThis email is invalid because the domain does not exist, was entered incorrectly or is not able to receive emails due to its settings. Do not send messages to this e-mail address.
SYNTAX ERRORE-mail that does not comply with the syntax rules stipulated by e-mail providers and market RFCs. Do not send messages to this e-mail address.
SPAMTRAP Trap emails, used to catch spammers. They cause immense damage to the reputation of IPs, blockages and a drop in deliverability. They are not reported at the base to help combat spam.

Grey Zone

These are e-mails for which we have no information and which have therefore not been debited from the customer's account. There is no validation response.

StatusMeaning
PENDINGIt was not possible to check this e-mail at the moment (no credit has been consumed). We recommend trying again later.
4- Distribution by error and by risk

These graphs seek to clarify information regarding emails that should not be used by the customer, such as those with errors or some kind of risk.

Distribution by error

Indicates the distribution of emails with errors, broken down into invalid, syntax errors and invalid domain.

Distribution by risk

Indicate the distribution of emails that represent some kind of risk to the reputation of email marketing, such as disposable, junk, scraped, spamtrap and uncertain emails.

5- Behavioral distributions

This area of the report is dedicated to delivering information from the interpretation of email domains and syntax.

Types of domains

Here, you'll get a demonstration of how your base is formed, taking into account emails from providers (Email provider) or emails from companies (Corporate).

Distribution by domain

This table shows the percentage share of each provider (such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) in your imported list. It also categorizes each provider individually according to the domain type criteria (Email Provider or Corporate).

Role-based emails

SafetyMails seeks to classify emails identified as corporate according to their organizational functions, such as C-Level, Financial, Administrative, etc.

Popularity

This graph shows information on the incidence of email addresses on other lists that have undergone email verification at SafetyMails, as shown in the table below:
  • D1 - Rarely Disseminated: emails that
  • repeated infrequently on other lists
  • D2 - Not Widespread: emails that are repeated only a few times on other lists
  • D3 - Widespread: emails that are repeated frequently on other lists
  • D4 - Very Widespread: emails that are repeated many times on other lists

This information is used to indicate that certain email addresses may be being heavily targeted by email marketing messages.
